- Dr. Yun-Hee Lee (KRISS) visited our group and delievered a colloquium (Dec. 6, 2016).   Title was "Apparance of new functionality and phase transition of materials under high pressure."         A photo taken after the colloquium.

- Prof. Jang attended 1st ICAS & 3rd HMnS conferences held in Chegdu, China (Nov. 14-18, 2016).   KIM representatives; (from left) Prof. Young-Kook Lee, Prof. Chong Soo Lee (KIM president), Prof. Jang, and Prof. Yoon-Suk Choi.         Famous performance of "changing mask."         Leshan Giant Buddha; a 71-meter-tall stone sculpture carved on the cliffs.

- Dr. Jae-Hyeok Shim (KIST) visited our group and delievered a colloquium (Oct. 4, 2016).   Title was "Better understanding of materials phenomena by using computational thermodynamics."

- Prof. Jang, MY, Yakai, DH, and JA attended conference on advanced structural materials (Sep. 22-23, 2016).   At the banquet.         Yakai is giving a talk.         Dong-Hyun is making a presentation.         Jung-A is delievering a talk.

- Congratulations!! - MY and DH attended the 10th Steel Science Forum (July 7-8, 2016).   MY is giving a 3-min. talk for introducing his poster.         In front of the poster.

- Prof. Jang was selected as an excellent reviewer for Scripta Materialia 2015 (May 13, 2016).   200 US dollars check came with this certificate.

- Dr. Hyung-Wook Kim (KIMS) visited our group and delievered a seminar (April 8, 2016).   Dr. Kim is giving a talk on "Trend of manufacturing technology of high-specific-strength aluminium alloy plate for future automobile."         A group photo taken after the seminar.

- Congratulations! Prof. Jang received the HYU Outstanding Researcher Award (Mar. 22, 2016).   With HYU president.         HYU Outstanding Researcher Award.
